Send a receipt, get reminded before the return window ends
He sends Grok Bot the receipt whenever he buys something that cost real money. The bot logs two dates, the last day to return it and the day the warranty ends, and reminds him a week before each one. His point is that return windows close quietly, and missing one means you're stuck with the wrong thing. It's a small habit, but it covers the two moments people most often forget: deciding whether to keep something, and getting a fault fixed while it's still covered. Any agent that can read a photo or an email receipt and set reminders can do this.
Copy this prompt
Here's my receipt for [ITEM], bought at [STORE] on [DATE]. Look up the store's return policy for this kind of item and the maker's warranty length. Save the last day I can return it and the day the warranty ends, and remind me one week before each date with the item name, the store, the order number and what I need to bring or do. If you can't confirm a policy, say so and use the date printed on the receipt.

Watch out for
- Return windows differ by item and season. Electronics are often shorter, and holiday purchases can be longer. Check the store's own policy page.
- Keep the original receipt or order email. A reminder doesn't replace proof of purchase.
- Some warranties need you to register the product first. Ask the agent to check that too.

Get money back after a price drop
You bought something or booked a hotel, and the price fell soon after. An agent can check the store's or hotel's policy, keep an eye on the price and ask for the difference.
