He was shopping for new car insurance with Grok Bot's help, but it couldn't find clear details online about Progressive's glass coverage. As a Tesla owner he cared about that part, because a new windshield can be expensive. So he had Grok Bot phone Progressive and ask, while he picked his kids up from school, and he never had to talk to anyone himself. He posted the transcript and the recording of the call with his personal details bleeped out. He says parts of the call could be better, but it got the job done. This is a good use of a calling agent: the question is narrow, nothing is being bought or changed on the call, and you get a written record you can compare between insurers.

Watch out for
- Write the questions down before the call. A short, fixed list keeps the agent from wandering into a sales pitch.
- Read the transcript, not just the summary, and ask the insurer to confirm anything important in writing before you buy.
- Phone calls are new in Grok Bot and aren't in xAI's docs yet, so check that your app can call before you count on it.
