A missing item from Sam's Club pickup refunded in 4 minutes
Sam's Club left a pack of King's Hawaiian rolls out of his curbside pickup order. Instead of opening the support chat himself, he asked Grok Bot to handle it. With his OK, it signed in to his account through 1Password, found the order and reported the missing item. About four minutes later he had a message saying his refund was on its way, and he says he didn't have to do anything else. Reporting a missing item on an order is a good first errand for an agent: the store already has a form for it, the amount is small, and you can see the result in your account.
Copy this prompt
My [STORE] order from [DATE] was missing [ITEM]. Sign in to my account (ask me before you use my login), find that order and report the missing item through the store's own help or order page. Ask for a refund to my original payment method, not store credit. Don't change anything else on the order. When you're done, tell me what you submitted, the refund amount and any reference number.
Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.
Watch out for
- Approve the sign-in yourself. He let the bot use his password manager only with his OK.
- Ask for the refund to go back to your card. Some stores default to store credit or a gift card.
- Check your account or card a few days later to see that the refund actually landed.
