Real use case

A phone-friendly order tracker built from scratch

In previous years he tracked a long list of supplies in a flat spreadsheet. This time he asked Meta Muse to build a tracker to his own specs instead. Each item records how many units he needs, how many come in a pack, how many packs to buy and notes. Under each item sit separate records for every order and delivery, and anything that needs to be returned or refunded. A small dashboard shows what's needed, ordered, delivered and still outstanding, with a search box. He says the linked records were the big step up from the spreadsheet, and that having phone-friendly forms made it easy to update on the go.

Copy this prompt

Build me a simple tracker I can use on my phone for buying supplies. For each item: name, units needed, units per pack, packs to buy (calculated) and notes. Under each item, let me add orders (date, packs ordered, store) and deliveries (date, packs received), plus a returns field. Add a dashboard showing needed, ordered, delivered and still missing per item, and a search box. Start with these items: [LIST].

Watch out for

  • Ask how to export the data. If the tracker lives only inside the agent's app, keep a copy you can open elsewhere.
