Lesson

After an OpenClaw update, his weather job stopped until he set its model

He updated OpenClaw to version 2026.10.10. Chat kept working, but his scheduled weather job started failing with an error saying the automation had no recorded inference account. He fixed each affected job by telling it which model and account to use, with the cron edit command and a model setting in the form model@profile. He shared it in case others hit the same thing. The wider lesson: after an agent update, check your scheduled jobs, not only chat, because a job can fail quietly while everything else looks fine.

The lesson: After an update, check scheduled jobs too. Chat working doesn't mean your automations are.

Copy this prompt

I just updated OpenClaw to [VERSION]. List all my scheduled jobs and when each one last ran without errors. For any job that failed since the update, show me the error and the command to fix it, but don't change anything until I say yes.

Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.
