30 days of Grok Bot: slow, and sometimes stuck

The poster used Grok Bot every day for 30 days and wrote up what he found. He liked that it has its own computer and browser, keeps working overnight when his own computer is off, and is easy for beginners. His complaints: it was slow, it wasn't good at planning big engineering work, and it would often get stuck. A few times, when he checked in, it had already finished the work and was just sitting on it. He also didn't like not knowing which model it was using, and found the $30 starting price hard to justify next to free Meta Muse. He says he won't renew.

$20 back when an order came without its case

The poster had his Grok Bot order an electric toothbrush from Walgreens. The listing said it came with a travel case, but the case wasn't in the box. The bot suggested asking for a partial refund instead of sending the whole thing back. It then opened the online chat on the Walgreens website, explained the problem and handled the whole conversation by itself. Walgreens gave him a $20 refund and he kept the toothbrush. It's a small win, but it's the kind of thing most people let slide because a support chat feels like more trouble than the money is worth. Asking for a partial refund on a missing part is often easier than a full return, and the store keeps the sale.

Internet bill cut $30 a month, plus a free recall fix

A few weeks into using Grok Bot, the poster listed what it had done so far. It got his internet bill lowered by $30 a month, which he says covers the cost of the subscription. It also found that a $2 hoverboard he bought at Goodwill was under a recall, so instead of paying over $100 for a new battery he got a replacement for free. He says the battery arrived and works.
