A Grok Bot call got a lost Verizon loyalty credit back
He used a Grok Bot set up just for bills to call Verizon about a monthly bill of about $230. On the call it got a $10 per line loyalty credit added back, which he says had dropped off, so $20 a month off for his two lines. With that, he says his account now gets $39.50 a month in discounts, which brings the bill down about 16% and works out to about $474 a year. The bot also set reminders for when his devices are paid off, since that's another point where a bill often changes. Credits that quietly fall off a bill are common, and asking for them back is a good first job for a bill call.
Copy this prompt
Look at my [CARRIER] bill (attached). List every discount, promo and loyalty credit on it, and any that were on earlier bills but are gone now. Then call [CARRIER] customer service and ask them to add back the missing credits and check for any current loyalty offers for my plan. Don't change my plan, add lines or agree to a new contract. After the call, tell me what changed and the new monthly total, and set a reminder for when each device is paid off.

Watch out for
- Get the new total in writing, in the app or by email, and check the next bill.
- Tell the agent not to accept a new contract, line or device. Retention offers can come with strings.
- Calling customer service is still rolling out in Grok Bot. Check your app has it first.

Lower a bill with an AI agent
Your internet, phone or insurance price crept up. An agent can read the bill, compare offers and ask your provider for a better price, with you approving each step.
