Claim forgotten money from an old address
The poster asked Grok Bot to look for money owed to him. Under his name at an old address it found 3 unclaimed items: a car insurance refund of over $100 and two old brokerage balances under $100 each. It filled out the claim with all 3 items, using his details saved in Grok Bot's Vault. He signed and submitted it himself. He says it was about $200 he had forgotten about, and suggests searching every state you've lived in.
Copy this prompt
Search the official unclaimed property sites for every state I've lived in: [STATES], using my name [FULL NAME] and past addresses [ADDRESSES]. Start from unclaimed.org so you only use official state sites. List anything that looks like mine with amount and source. Fill in the claim forms, but stop before signing or submitting so I can check them. Never use a paid finder service.
Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.
Watch out for
- Searching and claiming is free on official state sites. Ignore companies that charge a fee to find your money.
- Claims can take weeks and some states ask for proof of your old address.
