Find forgotten subscriptions in your inbox
The poster asked Grok Bot by voice to go through his email and list every recurring charge. It found ones he had forgotten: an X subscription on an old Google account ($25/mo), LinkedIn Premium ($40/mo) and a documents tool he no longer used. He picked which to cut, and the Bot followed up on each one, including a $90 refund for the unused tool that he says is on the way. He puts the saving at $121 a month.
Copy this prompt
Search my email for receipts and renewal notices from the last 12 months and list every recurring charge: service, amount, how often, the account email and the last charge date. Mark any I haven't opened or used recently. Don't cancel anything yet. When I tell you which to cut, cancel those through the official account pages and ask about a refund for unused time where it applies.
Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.
Watch out for
- Check bank and card statements too. Some subscriptions don't send receipts to the inbox the agent can see.
- Refunds for unused time are up to each company and often aren't given.
