Grok Bot called a clinic, waited on hold, confirmed a physical
Justin has cerebral palsy and says phone trees and hold music wear him out. He asked his Grok Bot, Grace, to call his clinic. It worked the phone menu, sat on hold for about four minutes, and confirmed his physical. He only had to tap Call. For people who find phone trees exhausting, a short, closed outcome like "confirm my appointment" is a strong first calling job. Keep medical details out of the brief unless the clinic asks, and take over if they need identity checks.
Copy this prompt
Call [CLINIC NAME] at [PHONE] and confirm my [PHYSICAL / APPOINTMENT] on [DATE] at [TIME] for [PATIENT NAME]. Work through the phone menu, wait on hold, and ask only what you need to confirm the time, location and any prep. If they ask for a date of birth, insurance ID or a security question you do not have, pause and ask me. Do not reschedule or cancel unless I say so. When done, give me the confirmation details and who you spoke with.
Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.
Watch out for
- Have your date of birth and member ID ready if the clinic asks. Do not put full Social Security numbers in the prompt.
- Tell the agent not to reschedule or cancel. Confirmation only.
- If hold times run long, stay nearby so you can jump in when a person asks for you.
