Grok Bot called 4 tire shops and booked the best quote
Ben, in Kansas City, needed new tires. He asked Grok Bot to call around. It phoned four shops, compared the quotes, picked the best one, asked that shop to order the tires and booked the install appointment. He says he could follow a live transcript of every call, and that the bot asked him whenever it needed an answer. Tire quotes are a good phone job for an agent because the details are fixed: size, brand range, and whether mounting, balancing, valve stems and disposal are included. Out-the-door prices are the only fair way to compare.
Copy this prompt
Call [NUMBER] tire shops near [ZIP] for quotes on [QUANTITY] tires in size [SIZE FROM SIDEWALL] for my [YEAR MAKE MODEL]. Ask for the out-the-door price including mounting, balancing, valve stems, disposal fees and tax, the brand and model, and the earliest install date. Put the quotes in a table. Do not order or book anything until I pick one. If a shop asks for a card number, stop and ask me.
Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.
Watch out for
- Read the tire size off your sidewall or door sticker. A wrong size means every quote is useless.
- Compare out-the-door prices. A low tire price can hide high installation fees.
- Ask whether the shop needs a deposit to order tires, and what happens if they arrive late.
