Send chores and grocery lists to the family calendar
The poster uses a Skylight Calendar screen at home and wanted his local AI agents to add family events, chores, grocery lists and dinner plans to it. So he wrote a free, open source connector and shared it. It works with OpenClaw, Hermes and other agents, and it strips passwords and keys out of anything before it shows up on the kitchen screen. Skylight doesn't offer this connection itself, so it's a hobby project, not an official one.
Copy this prompt
Every Sunday at 6pm, look at the family calendar for the week. Write a dinner plan for each night that fits the evenings we're busy, and a grocery list with amounts. Add the dinners to the calendar and the groceries to the shared grocery list. Show me the plan in chat first and wait for my OK.
Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.
Watch out for
- This is an unofficial connector. It needs your Skylight login details, so read the code or ask someone you trust before you set it up.
- Anything on a kitchen screen is visible to guests. Keep private appointments off it.

Plan the week's meals and fill the grocery cart
Deciding what's for dinner and writing the grocery list every week takes real time. An agent can plan meals around what your family eats and what's already in the fridge, then build the cart. Here is which agents can actually reach a grocery store, and where you still check and pay.
