Lesson

Asked for shipping, got same-day delivery to a closed mailbox

He had Muse order something from Walmart and told it to ship the item. Muse chose Walmart's Spark local delivery instead. His address is a box at a UPS Store, so the driver arrived after the store had closed. The driver called him and kindly drove the order to his home five minutes away, but he says Muse clearly got it wrong. Checkout pages often show several delivery options, and an agent may pick the fastest or the default one. If your address is a mailbox service, a PO box or an office with hours, the delivery method matters.

The lesson: Tell the agent the exact delivery method, and check it on the order summary before you approve.

Copy this prompt

Order [ITEM] from [STORE] to [ADDRESS]. This address is a mailbox at a shipping store, so use standard shipping only, not same-day or local driver delivery. Before you place the order, show me the order summary with the delivery method, the address and the total, and wait for my OK.

Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.

Watch out for

  • Save your address with a note in the agent's memory, like "mailbox, standard shipping only", so it doesn't have to guess next time.
