Find the cheapest holiday flight across several nearby airports, rides included
The poster and his fiancée needed flights from Chicago to Connecticut over Thanksgiving week, with 5 to 7 airports within a two-hour drive of where they were going. They also had to fit departure and return times around dropping off and picking up their dog. He asked Meta Muse to work it out, and he says it compared flight plus Uber cost from each airport, came back with the three best options for time and money, and gave him a link so he only had to click purchase. He says it saved him 30 to 60 minutes.
Copy this prompt
We are flying from [HOME CITY] to [DESTINATION] for [HOLIDAY OR DATES]. List every airport within a [2]-hour drive of [DESTINATION ADDRESS]. For each one, find the cheapest round trip for [NUMBER] people that leaves after [TIME] on [DATE] and gets back before [TIME] on [DATE], and add the cost of a rideshare from that airport to the address and back. Rank the best 3 options by total cost and total travel time in a short table, with booking links. Don't book anything; I'll choose.
Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.
Watch out for
- Check the final fare on the airline's own page before you click purchase. Holiday prices can change between the search and the booking.
- Ride prices are estimates. Surge pricing in a holiday week can make a cheap flight from a farther airport cost more in the end.

Our guide compares which agents can do this job, with steps and a prompt.
Track flight prices and get told when they drop
You know where and when you want to fly. An agent can watch prices and tell you when it's a good time to book.
