Genspark agent phones a restaurant to get a busy-week table
Wen Sang, a co-founder of Genspark, needed a dinner reservation in Las Vegas during the AWS re:Invent conference, when tables are hard to get. His Genspark agent on iMessage tried the online booking routes first and, when those didn't work, made a real phone call to the restaurant and got the booking. A second Genspark agent then sent the calendar invites to the people coming. Keep in mind this comes from someone at the company, so it's partly a product demo.
Copy this prompt
Book a table for [NUMBER] at [RESTAURANT OR TYPE OF FOOD] in [CITY] on [DATE] around [TIME]. Try online booking first. If nothing's open, call the restaurant, ask for that time or the closest one between [EARLIEST] and [LATEST], and ask about a waitlist. Don't agree to a deposit or card hold over [AMOUNT] without asking me. Send me the confirmation and a short summary of the call.
Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.
Watch out for
- The poster is a Genspark co-founder, so treat this as the company showing its own product.
- Phone calls use credits on Genspark. Check the cost on your plan before you send it to make calls.
