A viral video checked frame by frame
A viral post claimed an AI tool had found thousands of hidden photos on someone's Android phone, with a screen recording as proof. The poster asked Gemini to look into it using a Task in the Gemini app. It pulled out all 423 frames of the clip and read what was on screen. The last few frames showed a lock screen with the date "Thu, 19 October" and "No SIM", and October 19 was a Thursday in 2023, not 2026. The scrolling text turned out to be phone startup logs, and the clip matched a YouTube Short posted on October 19, 2023. A handy way to check a dramatic video before you share it.
Copy this prompt
Here's a video that's going around: [LINK OR FILE]. Check whether it shows what the post claims: [CLAIM]. Look at the frames for dates, times, app names, watermarks or anything that doesn't fit. Search for older copies of the same clip. Tell me what you found, how sure you are, and which frames show it.
Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.
Watch out for
- An agent can be wrong too. Look at the frames it points to before you call something fake in public.
