Turn your recipes into a recipe box that fills the cart
The poster gave Claude all of her recipes and it built a 'recipe box' page in Notion. When she picks what to cook, Claude Cowork takes control of her MacBook and adds the ingredients to her Walmart delivery cart. She mentions it in a reply to a teacher who uses an agent for similar errands. Keeping recipes in one place makes the grocery step repeatable: the agent works from the same ingredient lists every week instead of guessing from a recipe website. It's a good fit for Cowork because it works in the browser on your own computer, where you're already signed in to the store.
Copy this prompt
Here are my recipes: [PASTE OR ATTACH]. Make a recipe box page in [NOTION OR A DOCUMENT] with one entry per recipe: name, servings, ingredients with amounts and the steps. When I tell you which recipes I'm cooking this week, combine the ingredients, remove what I say I already have, and add the rest to my [STORE] cart in the browser. Don't check out. Show me the cart and anything you couldn't find.
Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.
Watch out for
- Check substitutions and sizes in the cart. Stores swap in different brands or pack sizes.
- The agent works on your signed-in computer. Stop it at the cart so you place the order yourself.

Plan the week's meals and fill the grocery cart
Deciding what's for dinner and writing the grocery list every week takes real time. An agent can plan meals around what your family eats and what's already in the fridge, then build the cart. Here is which agents can actually reach a grocery store, and where you still check and pay.
