Find the emails that need a reply and get drafts written in your tone
The poster connected Gmail to Claude Cowork and asked it to go through the inbox. They say it read 23 emails, picked out the 7 that needed a reply and wrote a draft for each in their tone, in about 45 seconds. They also set it up to look for emails nobody had answered in 3 or more days, and to run the check every morning.
Copy this prompt
Go through my Gmail inbox from the last [3] days. List the emails that need a reply from me, and any that have waited 3 days or more without one. For each, write a short draft reply in my tone, based on these 3 emails I sent recently: [PASTE OR NAME THEM]. Save them as drafts only. Don't send anything.
Our own prompt, written from what the source describes. We haven't run it ourselves. Text in [BRACKETS] is what you replace.
Watch out for
- Check whether the connection can send email or only draft it. In another post in our feed, an inbox helper sent a reply it was only meant to draft.
- Read every draft before it goes out, especially ones that mention money, dates or promises.
